What is a Paragraph 5 exemption licence?

A Paragraph 5 exemption licence allows suitable landowners to operate a small number of temporary glamping units without needing full planning permission, provided sites host no more than five Caravan Act-compliant units and meet certain criteria.

How an exemption licence works?

    We will review your site to assess its suitability and confirm whether an exemption licence is the right route for your land.

  • Application & documentation 

    We prepare and submit your application, including the supporting documents required by Natural England and your Local Planning Authority.

  • Consultation & liaison 

    We liaise with your Local Planning Authority and carry out neighbour consultation where required, keeping the process smooth and fully compliant.

  • Certification & compliance 

    Once approved, we issue your exemption licence certificate and manage your annual renewal, keeping your site compliant year after year.
